Alexandra Kordes

Alexandra Kordes is the creative head of Kordes & Kordes Film GmbH. She is in charge of selecting material and developing ideas and projects.

After studying theatre, film and TV at the Ruhr University in Bochum and making half a dozen of her own shorts on her own, Alexandra Kordes completed her studies as a director of photography at the College of Film and TV "Konrad Wolf."

Her professional career in film began when she assisted Andreas Veiel with his debut film WINTER NIGHT's DREAMS. Before starting her own company, Alexandra Kordes worked successfully as a DOP with directors like Marina Caba Rall (LAST MINUTE), Martina Elbert (THROUGH THICK AND THIN), Rosa von Praunheim (WONDERFUL WRODOW) and Werner Schroeter (THE QUEEN).
